The Scorpion is the number 1 noob choice when it comes to vehicles but there’s a lot more to the M808B than an oversized tin can with a super powered pea shooter on top. In fact that tin can is covered in heavy duty ceramic-titanium armour and will travel at a maximum speed of 28.6 mph and the long thing on top is actually a 90mm High Velocity gun as well with the secondary attachment of a coaxial 7.62mm AP-T machine gun. Now its all very well rolling around in a big Tank, kicking ass, feeling untouchable but that’s not quite the case because the Tank has one major weakness that renders it more vulnerable than any other vehicle and that is its slow speed and lack of protection for the driver’s head which means 2 well aimed sniper rounds will have you down in seconds. There are 2 ways to combat this and they are using the secondary gun to spray in the direction of snipers, it won’t kill them but it will knock them out of zoom mode. The other option only works when stationary and involves actually protecting yourself by either hiding beneath the brow of a hill so only the gun is exposed or by turning around so your back is to the opposition and then swinging the gun 180° before opening fire. This means that the grid at the front of the tank from where you can be shot is not exposed to the enemy. When entering a close quarters fighting with any thing from ghosts and warthogs to infantrymen all you do is point and shoot. When firing the 90mm as with the rocket launcher aim for the ground at the base of your target but be careful because it often fires a bit higher than you expect. The tank has a reasonably big dead zone but you should be able to take anything out before it enters that dead zone and be careful not to fire at point blank range because you may end up killing yourself and loosing your transport. The secondary gun is very inaccurate and not that powerful but it doesn’t do any harm and you have got unlimited ammo so just keep firing it’s the only defence you’ve got while waiting the 4 seconds to reload your primary cannon. When you bump into another tank then it’s a simple case of fastest finger first, assuming that you don’t miss so remember to always aim the cross hair slightly below the intended destination of your shot due that slight inaccuracy. Turning the gun is quite a slow process meaning when being shot from behind its very hard to turn the gun in time. One way to quicken the rotation of the cannon is by reversing at the same time combines the movement of the vehicle itself. Passengers are pretty pointless and although the scorpion can carry 4 troops its slow speed means they very rarely survive and most of the time can’t aim very well. The only really useful passenger is someone with a rocket launcher to boost the vehicles firepower or a sniper to cover the tank from other snipers or to just zoom in, observe the enemy and request the shelling of much longer range targets.
