Plasma Pistol Your average noob would describe this gun as useless but more experienced halo veterans would inform you of this weapons immense power. One overcharged shot from this will reduce a 400% energy shield to 0. So charge it up and keep it charging while your walking around so as soon as you meet an enemy all you do is release the trigger and there goes there shield. After there shield is down you can switch to another weapon or just keep using the pistol with normal fire without charging it up and to achieve an incredibly high rate of fire you just twitch your finger very quickly as appose to pulling it all the way down. Firing the gun this way will also have a stun affect on the target. This Weapon also possesses the fastest melee in the game so don’t hesitate to use it although it can’t melee when the gun is charging. An overcharge shot also homes to a small degree but don’t rely on it too much because it isn’t that good until you start firing at longer distances.
Plasma Rifle A useful weapon that works well as part of any combo, this gun works wonders when it comes to reducing your enemy’s shield. Simply lay into your opponent and they’ll be dead in seconds, try and aim for the head to make your shots have more affect but the overheat meter because having to stop halfway through killing someone to let your gun cool down could put you in a very venerable position. This gun has a very powerful stun affect which almost completely disable your target. It also has a pretty fast melee which makes this gone great for attacking your enemy from behind. It is also very good against vehicles.
Needler Not really the best multi player weapon and in fact I wouldn’t even bother picking it up at all, unless you don’t have much choice. This gun’s only saving grace is that the purple glass projectiles the gun fires actually home in on their target and it looks so cool when your enemy is stuck full of needles and you can just stand watch him convulse as they explode inside him. They make a good stealth weapon as you can move through shadows whilst showering your enemy in a hail of glass. It works best in areas where your enemy will find it hard to move like ladders, tight corridors and narrow bridges. This weapon needs to be complemented with a much shorter range firearm since this is primarily a medium range weapon with a shockingly slow melee.
Plasma Grenades The most fun weapon in the game. Noobs, Vets, Glitchers and everyone else loves this grenade for either its ability as a weapon or the other amusing things you can use them for. It doesn’t matter how good it is, it doesn’t do any harm carrying them so pick them up when you can. One highly comical slapstick routine you may choose to try is sticking it to some ones head at let them run around screaming and shouting before they blow up. But if you don’t have a sense of humour and are only here for competitive reasons and are that bothered about winning then we’ll move on. This grenade is great against vehicles and just two will kill anything up to a tank. For fighting at close range against moving dismounted opponents the 2 to 3 second fuse makes it a poor choice over the human Frag. So get close to your enemy and make sure it sticks because no matter how long the fuse is a tagged player needs a miracle (and there are no heavenly bodies in Halo so what are the chances of that). This is not as powerful as the Frag and is easier to see but it also doesn’t uncontrollably bounce around so it has its pros and it has its cons but like I said, Who cares.
