The following glitches, tricks and easter eggs are all for the multiplayer levels of the origional halo, scroll down to find them, we will start with blood gulch...
Blood Gulch
Out of the world-This is one of the hardest out-of-the-world tricks, the only equipment you need is one simple ghost and maybe a sniper rifle. You start at the blue base, head to the right hand side cliff and grab a ghost, then drive down the cliff for a bit until you come to a ramp formation in the rock, drive up the ramp until it becomes too thin to drive on, as soon as you get to this part press and hold the ‘A’ button. If you are going at the right speed then you will go up the steep part of the cliff, remember keep ‘A’ pressed down; this may take a few tries. Now turn the ghost so that you are facing up, you should see an arched shaped area which is much brighter than the cliff around it, drive up to this area and hit it right in the bottom corner of the right hand side. This is the only area that you can get right to the top, now you have to strafe right; keep doing this until you get to the rock tower, now you can land, relax and have a quick break, also this is a great sniping point. When you are ready to set off again, get back in your ghost and get going! Behind the tower is a near vertical cliff which you CAN’T get up, you must go around this until you come to a less steep slope which you can go up, like before you must keep your thumb down on ‘A’, keep going up and don’t stop because this slope goes quite far down the cliff and you may fall all the way to the floor. Now you should be right at the top of blood gulch, now you can keep driving on an invisible cliff which goes miles up into the sky until it stops you, now if someone on the ground snipes you, your ghost is just a tiny blob in the sky, this is really cool! Remember don’t get out of your vehicle here because you will just fall down, and your ghost will be stuck up there! An alternative way to do this glitch is to go to the area near the rock which is next to the entrance to the caves, go to the right hand side of this rock, and park the tank, so that its side is against the cliff, and its nose is facing the re base, park a ghost next to the *penis* shaped rock, inline with the tank’s side, then get one person in the ghost and two people behind it, the two people behind the ghost should both throw a plasma grenade on to the back of the ghost, make sure that they do this is at the SAME TIME. Then the ghost driver flies at the tank, and times the grenade explosion to the moment when he flies over the tank, then you will be launched up, and out of the world.*ultimate sniping!*
Vehicles on top of the base- we have only so far got all but one of the vehicles on top, but we are sure that it is possible to get them all up, start by putting three of the ghosts up, this is very east, you just park the tank so that its side is against the side of the base, here you can use this as a ramp *see sidewinder out-of-world trick for more details on tank ramping*. Once that these three ghosts are up (note that one ghost isn’t on the top) you can do the tank, (we have only managed to put one tank up) to do this park the warthog in the middle of two of the sticking up bits pointing out of the top of the base, there is two of these bits next to each other above the ramps and another one on its own in the middle of where the two ramps are , this one is on both sides, park the hog so it is between one of the ones above the door and one of the ones on its own, drive the tank towards it at full pelt, get another person to follow you in the other tank, and as you drive over the warthog, the man behind rams into you and pushes you onto the top. To get the warthogs up, just park a ghost in the same position as you parked the hog for the tank and drive the warthog into it, using it as a ramp, finally get the last ghost on the same way as you did with the other three. There you go!
Ghosts in the tree-This isn't really a glitch, more of a funny trick, now we all know of the power to ramp the ghost off the tank, but this is using it to its full advantage, go to one of the bases where there is a tree with a hill on the right hand side of it (right had side when standing on top of the base) park a tank on top of the hill and take a ghost round to the side of the hill opposite the tree, there is a shadow cutting the hill inhalf, park the ghost in the middle of the shadow, drive it up and ramp it off the tank, the ghost will ramp into the tree, do this numerous times for really funny effects. *pic coming soon*
Sidewinder
Out of the world-I find this the easiest out of the world trick, this was originally found by Figleaf when the halobinge crew first go in to glitches, thake a tank up to one of the teleporter cliffs, the one WITHOUT the bridge, park it facing into the teleporter room on the left hand side of the cliff, go get a ghost and ramp it over, it may take more than one try. done!
Through the grate!-Another one of the easiest glitches, park a ghost or warthog one one side of the grate in the tunnels, go to the oher side of the grate, press x and you're through, this is good for quick flag captures. Another way to do this is park a warthog on a slight angle next to the grate, throw a plasma grenade on the right hand side of it, crouch down on the left hand side and it will push you through, harder but cooler.
